Course Description

This course examines the biographical coherence of Paulís letters. This will involve a somewhat detailed reconstruction of the world in which he lived, with specific concern for the influences that formed him and the controversies that forced him to develop new arguments and ideas. His letters will be studied in the order in which they were written with a view to explaining the emergence of his key theological ideas.
